HUMBLED VEHEMENCE

"Switch off the lights, I want to sleep!"
Clouds, shelter to my nerves
Lost in the curves called labyrinths of life
Rain, sophistically acclaimed
Yet pour down while eyes are naive!

Cordoned a heart in isolation
As it was turning void
Snuggled the lungs for few breaths
Smuggled from the clutches of million deaths!

That longed for conclusion
In deep confusion
Still strong as vanity…
…of profound illusion!

There’s no darkness in belief
As dark bereft
Remnants of my sleep
Tried to bring it back but inept
Light is my treacherous being
Light is all that’s left!
