WHEN GOD WAS A DEMON

A tribute to my best friend AMIT ADLAKHA. Can't prefix late since he went too early! R.I.P. Brother! Love!

I still remember crossroads
And your apologetic eyes
For a feud I burnt you with
For mistakes, I’ll never realize :-)

I was walking down the street
Heard a honk from behind
It was you on your infamous bike
Picked me up to drop me by :-)

Anon the game parlour of Sector – 4
Playstation and rumble fights
We saw the sun go down
From the tallest building sights
Nights witnessed the endless wandering
Under yellow/silver street lights
We robbed the moon, we raised a riot ;-)

Played Cricket on charcoal pitch
Ate burgers at roadside
We did everything wrong
Coz we knew we could make it right :-)

Now when you’re gone
I wonder if I miss you at all
Or I miss those wonderful rides :-(

I walk alone
Sometimes I look back
But nobody blowing horn
You’re not getting born :-(

I shan’t mourn that era of grief
That absorbed all the patience
Slaughtered all belief
God! You took too much, too many :-(

Friend you must be an Angel now
Fall no more :-)

A tribute bY: Bharatshree
